Head coach of South Sudan Premier League champions Atlabara FC, Morris Michael has warned Al Ahly that they will not find it easy when they face off in the CAF Total Champions League preliminary round.
“I know the Egyptian champions have a lot of experience and good players, but we are determined to give them a hard time,” said the Atlabara FC coach.
The coach made it clear that playing against a top side like Al Ahly is very good for his players because they will get good exposure. “My players are all rearing to go against Al Ahly. They want to bring out their best,” added the coach.
He also pointed out that although they failed to qualify for the knock out stage of the recent regional CECAFA Kagame Club Championships in Rwanda, the competition had given his players good practice.
The South Sudan side has already communicated that they have agreed with Al Ahly to have the two matches played in Cairo because the Stadium in Juba is under going renovation.
“We have agreed with Al Ahly to play the two games in Cairo. We shall depart for Egypt on August 6th,” Club general secretary Samuel Kabi Simon confirmed.
