Ready for new challenge – Wasswa

Uganda Cranes assistant captain Hassan Wasswa Mawanda has said he is ready to begin a new challenge with Jeddah Club in Saudi Arabia.
The much traveled defender/midfielder signed for Jeddah Club on Wednesday in Saudi Arabia. “I have played in several countries and coming to Saudi Arabia is a new challenge that I am prepare for and give my team the best,” said the experienced player.
Wasswa who was part of the Uganda Cranes squad at the recent 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt signed a two-year contract with Jeddah Club.
He joins other Africa players at the Club, Modou Jobe (Gambia), Oumarou Kaina (Cameroon) and the duo of Ibrahim Sory and midfielder Patrick Gbala from Ivory Coast.
Besides featuring for Ugandan Clubs Naguru Avis FC, Nakawa United FC, Kampala United FC, KCCA FC and Vipers SC, Mawanda has played professional football in Ethiopia, South Africa, Turkey, Vietnam, Iraq, Lebanon and Egypt.
